Mark
Driscoll
Mark began playing guitar in 1988 and formed his first band
with friends 2 years later. He ran this band for the next 10 years
through various name and line up changes playing, rock, blues, rock
and roll, 60’s soul and reggae covers. The band gigged regularly
in the London and Kent area, often playing 2 to 3 times a week.
This helped him to develop as a versatile guitarist, as he provided
both the lead and rhythm back bone of the band. During this period
he also branched out into original projects, as a guitarist in a
pop band and as a bass player in a rock band, which played in various
London venues including The Rock Garden. From 1996-2000 he also
played main guitar in a duo playing a wide range of material and
gigging throughout London, Essex and Kent. On top of this Mark has
often taught guitar and in early 2006 he decided to start teaching
more seriously. He now teaches regular lessons from home and also
travels to some students. |

Geoffrey
Paice
Started playing guitar aged 14, and he and some school friends
formed their first band within a year. This lasted about 5 years
through various line ups and numerous gigs. Following this he spent
a year and a half in an instrumental jazz-rock band playing various
Universities and London venues. He then joined an originals rock
band and gigged regularly for a further year until the band split.
A new rock band was formed and played together for the next 6 years
with a mix of originals and covers, playing some top London venues,
including the Marquee Club, Rock Garden and Hammersmith Palais.
During this period he developed into a lead vocalist. After this
he played in two different duo’s, as well as playing for dance
shows and pantomimes as a “pit” guitarist until forming
another band in 1998 with a female vocalist. This period lasted
until 2002 when he quit to concentrate on his own song writing.

Derek
Brand
Derek has been Drumming since 1988. He joined Marks covers
band in 1992, and played with them until the band split up in 2000.
He played for various covers bands during this period, playing at
local pubs and clubs, covering music from rock to pop and blues.
He has also played with bands on the originals circuit at venues
such as the Rock Garden. One of these was a Rock three piece band
with Mark playing bass. |

Dave
Crowley
Dave started playing bass when he was just 14 years old.
He was soon playing in school bands, and has been playing in various
cover and function bands ever since. He joined Marks band in 1993/4
and stayed until it split up in 2000. He has since been playing
in a couple of covers bands and one originals band. |
How they got together
In 2003 Mark, having taken a few years out of music
to concentrate on his own business, got back together with
Derek and Dave and decided to reform the band. The previous
vocalist was committed to another band so they decided to
audition for a new front man. Geoff heard about the audition
through a mutual friend and got the role.
