| P.A.
System |
|
Larger venues |
| Adrenalin
Switch use two P.A. Systems depending on the size of the venue.
For larger gigs they use a 24 channel Peavey professional stereo
mixer. This is run through a stereo graphic equalizer, a stereo
effects processor and a stereo compressor/limiter with noise gate.
The output is then run through a Peavey PV2000 professional stereo
power amplifier, providing 1000 watts of power each side! The sound
is finally pumped out by a pair of Peavey HiSys 4XT full range speaker
cabinets, each capable of handling peaks of 2800 watts. To finish
off they have a pair of Laney Concept CP15 150 watt powered monitors,
which when combined with their extension speakers give off 300 watts
of power a pair. |
|
Smaller venues |
For smaller gigs they use
a Soundcraft Spirit FX8 professional stereo mixer. With 8 mono 4
stereo inputs and its own onboard effects processor it is ideal
for duo gigs and small pubs. This is then run through a pair of
Mackie SRM450 powered speakers, giving 450 watts a side. These sit
on top of stands at about 6-7' high. |

| Mark's
guitar set up |
Mark has four guitars to
choose from. He mainly plays a 24 fret Hamer or a Yamaha Pacifica,
but he also has a Westone Pantera or a Fender Strat if he feels
like a change. He plays through a stereo rack system including a
Marshall JMP 1 pre amp, a pair of Rocktron effects processors, a
Rocktron noise gate, a Yamaha graphic equalizer and a Korg tuner.
He also uses a Colorsound Wah pedal. All of this is powered by a
Marshall 9200 valve stereo power amp giving 100 watts per side.
The speakers he would use depend on the venue. For smaller gigs
he plays a pair of Marshall 1922 2x12"speakers cabs. For larger
gigs he uses a pair of Marshall 1960 4x12" speakers cabs, and
if he plays anywhere really large he has another pair of 4x12"cabs
at home. |
|
Geoff's guitar set up |
| Geoff plays
either an Ibanez customised Blazer 500 guitar, a Fender Strat or
an Aria Pro II. He uses a Boss compression pedal and a Cry Baby
Wah Wah. He puts these through a rack system including a Soldano
Series II pre amp, a Lexicon effects processor and a Marshall EL84
20/20 stereo valve power amp. This gives him 20 watts per side which
he uses to drive a hand made custom 2x12"stereo speaker cabinet.
This handles most situations and for large gigs he just mic's up
his cab. |

Dave's
bass guitar set up |
Dave has a number of bass
guitars to chose from including 4, 5 or 6 string models and even
a couple of fretless. Dave plays his bass guitars through a Phil
Jones M500 bass rig. This incorporates a 700 watt Mosfet bass head
and two speaker cabinets. The top cab has 6 x 5"speakers and
the bottom has 9 of the same. This gives him a tight powerful sound
and more than handles any gigging situation. |
|
Derek's drum set up |
Derek plays a Premier Genista
drum kit with a double bass drum pedal. He uses a standard set up
of bass drum, snare, floor tom, two mounted toms, and various cymbals.
He mic's up the kit to give a sharp powerful sound and, together
with Dave's bass rig, this provides the driving backbone of the
band. |
